John Arnold, a beloved pastor, faithful servant of God, and cherished spiritual leader of the Catholic community. Father John passed away at the age of 70, leaving behind a legacy of faith, humility, compassion, and devoted service that touched countless lives throughout his priestly ministry.
The Diocese of Tucson joins the faithful of St. Mark Parish in Oro Valley, along with family, friends, fellow clergy, and parishioners, in honoring the life of a man who dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the Gospel and the service of God’s people. While his earthly presence is deeply missed, gratitude remains for the profound impact he made on all who were blessed to know him.
For many years, Father John faithfully shepherded the parish community of St. Mark in Oro Valley. As pastor, he was far more than a spiritual leader—he was a trusted guide, compassionate counselor, devoted friend, and steady source of strength for countless individuals and families. His ministry was grounded in genuine love for Christ and an unwavering commitment to serving others with humility and grace.
