Authorities in Pushmataha County, Oklahoma, are investigating a fatal ATV crash that claimed the life of 8-year-old Kinsley Williams from Cleburne, Texas, on Wednesday night.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Short Trail Road near Buck Creek Road. Troopers report that the ATV being operated by Kinsley overturned under circumstances that remain under active investigation.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene around 10 p.m. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Kinsley was pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries.
Officials confirmed that Kinsley was visiting southeastern Oklahoma with her family at the time of the incident. A younger child who was also riding on the ATV was not injured in the crash.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol stated that the cause of the rollover has not yet been determined. Investigators are continuing to examine the scene and gather information to understand the sequence of events leading up to the accident.
